Steve Vaughn's panoramic photographs are displayed on the walls of numerous
Florida
corporations and private residences. And not only that, there was surprise and delight recently when one of his small pieces was reported seen on a restroom wall at a Hess service station!
Based at Tropics Gallery in Winter Park, he also exhibits at outdoor art shows
and has been poster artist for the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, the Mount Dora Arts
Festival, the Maitland Art Festival and the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival. Recent one-man shows include the
Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida and the First Street Gallery in Neptune Beach.
Steve Vaughn comes to art and photography after a 30-year editing career in the newspaper business. During 25 years at The Orlando Sentinel he was sports editor, managing editor and then executive editor of the newspaper from 1980 through 1992. However, you are not likely ever again to find him at one of those long meetings. Or wearing a long-sleeve white shirt and necktie.
Steve and Renae Vaughn, a tax accountant, have been married 43 years. Their son Michael is an attorney in Orlando and a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Daughter Kelley is a graphic artist and musician in New York City. The Vaughns have four grandsons.
